The Fisher Pierce
1570-1 control/transmitter is battery operated and mounted to the inside
of a padmount or underground installation. The compact, low profile
antenna is installed on the top or side of a cabinet or inside the manhole.
The antenna is rugged and vandalproof. Its waterproof Noryl housing
and stainless steel mounting bolts are potted as an integral unit. When
the FCI is activated (SCADA contacts closed), encoded phase fault information
is broadcast to field personnel equipped with handheld receivers.
